artist bio

​

madeline mace is a fiber, sculpture, and performance artist born and raised in southern california and currently based in chattanooga, tennessee. she earned her bfa in fine art from southern adventist university and later received her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from loma linda university, where she is now pursuing a second master’s in religion and society.

mace's experience in therapy work, particularly with teens in crisis, continues to inform the emotional landscape of her practice. through domestic and ritualistic processes such as crochet, weaving, and embroidery, she explores themes of control, memory, and healing. mace currently works virtually as an associate marriage and family therapist in california and continues to develop and exhibit her artwork across the usa and abroad..
